This page contains evidence of my growth as a professional in the area of COMMUNICATION:  Effectively listens to others; clearly and effectively presents and understands information orally and in writing; acquires, organizes, analyzes, interprets, maintains information needed to achieve school or team 21^st century objectives.

On March 1, 2016, I trained the staff at SWRHS on the MTSS framework during a staff meeting using an interactive presentation with peardeck.  I often use this with my students as a way of completing formative assessments.  The teachers each had their laptops and logged onto the site with the teacher  (trainer) code provided.  The information presented on the smartboard projected on their computers as well.  During the training, teachers were asked questions relating to the training to assess their knowledge of MTSS.  This was our first year of implementing MTSS. As MTSS chair, the goal was to research best practices within the MTSS framework.  This goal directly aligned with our student improvement plan and district initiative and was approved by the administrator.  Many teachers lacked a foundational knowledcge of the process or had no knowledge at all.  This training was designed as an introduction to the process.  Currently our district is providing further clarification on their expectations, which will then be disseminated to faculty and staff.
