OTES Self-Assessment & Professional Growth Plan Requirements: (Fall)
- Within the first month of school, review OTES Self-Assessment and Professional Growth Plan with Mentor and draft goals for submission to OTES Evaluator by September 15th in the Orange City School District.
- As an additional resource to help you determine levels of prociency, see The "Ohio Continuum of Teacher Development" document attached below. This rubric can be very helpful in determining areas of strength and areas of need in your self-assessment related to your Ohio Educator Standards.
- Complete the OTES Self-Assessment below with your mentor and save to your RE Year 1 folder. Once completed, submit to Taskstream as evidence of meeting this requirement. (Again, this task is marked simply as "met" or "not met".)
OTES: Self-Assessment and Professional Growth Plan
- Identify 2 areas to focus on for improvement in the upcoming Year. Document the 2 Areas you will be focusing on by completing your OTES Self-Assessment.
- Click on the OTES Professional Growth Plan Below (You only need to complete Page 1. You do not have to complete the Improvement Plan pages). Draft and complete your 2 Professional Growth Goals (in year 1, it is receommended that 1 goal be related to improved student achievement and 1 goal be related to your professional growth and learning).
- Once completed, save the OTES Professional Growth Plan (Page 1 ONLY) with your Mentor during one of your Collaborative meetings and upload the document into your Year 1 RE Folder..
- Upload your OTES Self-Assessment and Professional Growth Plan documents to Taskstream and click "submit" once they have been completed to document evidence in your Taskstream portfolio.
- You are NOT required to share your OTES Self-Assessment with your OTES Evaluator (but you may voluntarily elect to do so). You ARE required to submit your OTES Professional Growth Plan (2 SMART Goals) to your OTES Evaluator via eTPES by September 15th in the Orange City School District.
