About Me

I love my work at Prescott South Elementary School where, for 4 years I served as the Reading Interventionist before becoming the 3rd and 4th Grade Resource Teacher 5 years ago. I also serve our school as the Family Engagement and Title 1 Laiason.

I have three wonderful children: Luke, 19, is a sophomore at Freed-Hardeman University where he is majoring in Bible. We are missing him at home but enjoying hearing about his adventures and fun. Daniel is 16 and a junior at Cookeville High School. He has a memory the whole family envies, plays percussion in the Cavalier Band and loves carbs. Daniel also enjoys a good joke and his laugh is contagious. Lyssabeth Grace completed the family 13 years ago and is in 8th grade at PSMS, where she is in the chorus and yearly musical. She is a bundle of energy with a giving heart. She is also the athlete and animal lover of the family. Most often, you can find Lyssa playing with her dog or planning to tackle her next adventure.

With a mild form of Asperger’s syndrome, son Daniel helps us all focus on overcoming challenges with a good attitude and God’s help. I did not work for the school district when Daniel was diagnosed so I have an understanding of how it feels to get the news that your child may need some extra help. That is part of why I went into Special Education. I am excited to work with the students here at PSES and inspire us all to engage and achieve every day!
