Perhaps the story of Project Heritage Quilt, the culture, and the creativity of the Appalachian people are best told through the eyes and ears of the three journalists who dedicated their time and talent in heartfelt efforts to advertise and spread awareness throughout the making of the quilt. I am forever grateful and indebted to the publishers and writers of Cardinal News, Times News, and The Coalfield Progress for their front-page online and hard copy narratives and positive attention toward our small southwest Virginia communities, their artisanship, cultural heritage, and revitalization efforts.
