Project Heritage Quilt established within me a newfound confidence in myself and my abilities. Managing to multi-task and finish strong, despite many health-related struggles and unforeseen events throughout the year, helped me to realize my strengths in the face of weakness; I also realized that surrounding myself with positive reinforcements such as the many hands and hearts who worked alongside me during the process, were my keys to success and accomplishment. There has never been a more intuitive or productive therapy session than that of a quilting circle day spent laughing, crying, reminicing, listening, advising (and possibly even gossiping). I wouldn't trade one moment spent with each and every person met or reconnected with along the way.
