Research has been rich in content and has led to various other sources which will require continued exploration within the scope of Project Heritage Quilt. Further plans involve immersive and ongoing research as well as collaborative efforts within the communities of Southwest Virginia and beyond. The intended focus targets socioeconomic development of the collective cultural arts, history, heritage, and storytelling. Through community-based artisan interactions such as quilting, collective heritages will be preserved and passed to the next generation. Other crafts, written and multi-media representation, as well as developmental social and economic potentials will also continue to be examined. Further annotations will follow throughout the remainder of the project, providing the foundational building blocks for future endeavors.
