  2. Successfully complete a minimum of 30 days in Internship.
  3. Maintain daily time sheets.
  4. Arrive and depart the assigned school at the same time faculty members are expected to arrive and depart.
  5. Notify mentor teacher and principal of absence before the start of the school day.  Placement Coordinator and University Supervisor are notified by 9 a.m.
  6. Follow all school regulations that apply to faculty.
  7. Exhibit professionalism in attitude and behavior.
  8. Teach full time for 5 days with at least 3 consecutively.  If interns are not teaching, they are to be observing, assisting their mentor teachers, or working with their mentor teachers on coursework that is tied to fieldwork.  Full time teaching means assuming the normal responsibilities of the mentor teacher.  The mentor teacher is present, but assumes an assisting role or that of a team member.
  9. Successfully complete requirements of ELED 494 Teaching Internship I.  The focus is on student achievement, research, collaboration, and professional growth.  The goal of a Professional Development School (PDS) internship is to provide a total school-wide experience for the teacher candidate.  Interns remain in their assigned PDS for Internship II, a 70 – day experience, if possible.
  10. Students attend Block II classes when they are not assigned to internship field work.
  11. Participate in a formal three-way evaluation conference at the final point of the Internship.
  12. Limit outside activities including work hours during the Internship semester.
