I am Renee Chester and have been the guidance counselor at Dryden Elementary School for nine years.   I am currently entering my tenth year here at Dryden.  I knew that this school was special from the very beginning of my first year here. I have never wanted to leave. It is my hope that everyone (students, teachers, staff and parents) feels comfortable coming to my office to discuss any matter.


As a professional school counselor I believe:
1) All students can learn.
2) All students deserve equitable access to resources and
a rigorous curriculum to maximize their post-school
options.
3) All students' dignity should be respected and valued.
4) The school counselor should proactively act as an
advocate for all students.
5) The school counselor should collaborate with
stakeholders and community resources to assist
student development.
