The interview, wasn’t much of the profession I’m interested in but I learned more than I expected of that career, so I approached the interview more on the strategies of finding what I like and how to commit to it and work hard. I learned that civil engineering was a very difficult career to get into, even during college you must obtain high GPAs and that it required great amounts of time. I thought that this job would have somewhat art related since they have to make blue prints and designs which to work off of, which Is true, but it is very minimal because all they do with blueprints is to fix them up to fit a curtain requirements and that the drawings were made by the Architectures in the building. He also told me how he had to run most of the meetings, saying this is important to get everyone on the same page of the work, great communication skill is highly recommended for the job. He has really decided as low as high school that he wanted to be an engineer because he has a creative mind that he wanted to use in his work. Also relating to this, he likes being the leader or boss telling people what to do. As well as, he like that he gets to bring people together and coordinate them on what needed to be done. He said that the people he works with really keeps him going back, he has met interesting people and that working with them increase his work ethic on just trying to work real hard every day.
