What is the timeline for NSF Teaching Fellows to earn their initial license and complete their MAT-I? When do we start and when would we finish?
NSF Teaching Fellows begin their coursework in June 2012 and will complete in August 2013, including the summer sessions in 2012 and 2013. Face-to-face sessions will are scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays (4:00-6:30pm) and one Saturday per month (9am-3:00pm); online components to be determined.
By June 2013, NSF Teaching Fellows will have completed all of your coursework that leads to your initial teaching license. By August 2013, NSF Teaching Fellows will have earned their Masters of Arts in Teaching - Initial License (MAT-I).

What is the timeline for NSF Master Teaching Fellows to complete their Teacher Leadership Certificate (TLC)? When do we start and when would we finish?
Prior to beginning the program, NSF Master Teaching Fellows will participate in an orientation in May 2012 to meet both the NSF Teaching Fellows and Teacher Leadership Certificate course instructors. The Teacher Leadership Certificate program begins with a week-long retreat in July/August 2012. Certificate coursework begins in September 2012 and will complete in December 2013, including the summer 2013 session.
