Roosevelt University has worked closely with the Chicago Public Schools since its founding in 1945 as one of the first colleges in the United States to open its doors to students from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Now, Roosevelt has created a unique and groundbreaking partnership to provide endorsement courses and degree programs at special rates for CPS teachers and employees.
Effective until December 31, 2018, Roosevelt will waive all fees and provide CPS teachers with a 57% tuition reduction on courses that count toward the LBS I and Bilingual endorsements. CPS teachers pay a total of only $360 per credit hour for each course. The total cost of the LBS1 endorsement is $3,960 for 11 credit hours. The total cost of the Bilingual endorsement is $6,480 for 18 credit hours.
The partnership provides CPS teachers with such benefits as: instruction from top Roosevelt faculty, workplace opportunities to complete field experiences, and a variety of options for course enrollment—including online, off-campus, and intensive formats. Completers of the LBS I and Bilingual endorsements also can apply their coursework toward a graduate degree from Roosevelt’s College of Education in Reading, Teaching and Learning, or Second Language Special Education. All application and enrollment fees required by these programs are waived for CPS teachers.
In addition, the partnership waives all application and enrollment fees for teachers who enroll in our leadership programs in Dual Language Teacher Leadership and Instructional Leadership. CPS employees who have started but not yet completed an undergraduate degree also can receive special assistance in selecting a program of study that is convenient for working adults.
The time for success is now! Seize your opportunity at Roosevelt today.
