In response to strong demand, Roosevelt University and the Chicago Teachers Union Foundation Quest Center are partnering to enable Chicago teachers to earn an ESL or Bilingual endorsement in a high quality, low cost, cohort format.

A new Spring cohort is in formation and will begin on March 20, 2017.  The cohort will complete the 6 courses needed to earn the ESL and Bilingual endorsements taking two courses at a time over three consecutive semesters.  The anticipated end date is December, 2017.  Each semester, one of the courses will be online and the other one will be face-to-face.  Face-to-face classes will be held on Saturdays, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the CTUF Quest Center, 1901 West Carroll. Parking is free. See the Schedule of Courses link on the left sidebar for more information.

CPS teachers who enroll in this special program will be taught by a Roosevelt University faculty member and CTUF Quest Center Professional Development Facilitator Theresa Insalaco-DeCicco. All cohort teachers will be required to complete 100 clinical hours in accordance with Illinois endorsement requirements; teachers seeking the bilingual endorsement will need to pass a language proficiency exam.  See the Clinical Hours link and the Examinations link on the left sidebar for more information.

CPS teachers who qualify for this cohort will pay a special rate of only $1,080 per course.  There are no other fees or hidden costs.  The total cost per semester is $2,160.
