My LA Experience

My LA experience has taught me more about myself then I could have ever imagined, from laughter to self-reflection, I have discovered aspects of myself I never knew existed. Although I have not specifically developed a leadership goal for the semester, self-reflection was something that I decided to value during my time in LA. Seeing as when I departed to Los Angeles, I was not familiar with anyone else, I knew that believing in myself and promoting a better me would be critical to my success. In the brief video I have created to represent the leadership lessons I have learned from my time in LA, I have brought together the most important video footage I have, to indicate my fondest memories and what they have taught me. I believe that the experiences I have had, from working with the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Monica, to surfing in Malibu, I have become a more authentic version of myself. I am looking forward to using this experience when I return home, and back to Ithaca to support and encourage myself and those around me to develop and maintain their own authenticity. Being authentic allows for be to lead more confidently and with strength and the individually needed to be positive and impactful.
