Letter to Parents This artifact meets ACEI Standard 3.5, because it is a letter to the parents/caregivers in my host classroom explaining to them who I am. It was essential for me to write this letter to foster collaboration, so they could know me, and get in touch with me if needed. The letter described who I was, where I am from, my experience, and why I was in their son/daughter's classroom. I gave my contact information in hopes of meeting them.

This artifact appeals to me because it is the first time I had ever introduced myself to any parents/caregivers. It was also the first point of contact I had with any parents/caregivers of students that I had been observing/working with. While writing this letter, I was both nervous and excited because it was the first time that I realized how close I am to be working in the classroom, and beginning my profession as an elementary teacher.
