Lesson Plan2 This artifact meets ACEI Standard 2.2 because it is a lesson plan written by myself, about earthquakes. The title of the lesson is, "Why is the ground shaking?: Learning about the causes of earthquakes." This meets the standard because the objectives involve the the students being able to explain the causes of earthquakes, research and model the aftermath of an earthquake, and construct a model of an earthquake proof building.

This artifact has meaning to myself because it is one of the first science lesson plans I have written. It was tough at first for me to write this lesson, but very rewarding in the end, because I learned a great deal about writing science lesson plans. They are slightly different that lesson plans in other content areas, but once I learned how to write it, I felt very confident. This lesson plan has several activities within it that I think are very meaninful, engaging, fun, and appropriate for the content that is being taught.
