Communication Lesson Plan for Social Studies This artifact meets ACEI Standard 2.4 because it is a social studies lesson plan on how leaders in various forms of government communicate with their people. This lesson would be taught during a communication unit in social studies. By teaching this lesson, students will be able to describe how various leaders communicate with their people, and what would happen if their form of communication was lost.
This artifact appeals to me because to be honest, I never thought I would be able to effectively create a lesson plan by combing communication with government. I knew that it would be possible to make one, but it would be hard to make one that would engage the students and be relevant to what they were already learning. But once I thought of this, I realized the students would be interested to see how various leaders, other than their own president, communicate with their people.
