Moopies Help

Whats on the Screen?
The Moopies toolbar is on the left side of the screen, next to the drawing area. The Color Palette is under the toolbar. Tool Options trays are at the bottom of the screen, below the drawing area. The Moopies menu bar is at the top of the screen.

Using Moopies Tools
The Moopies tools are available on the left side of the screen: they look and act like the Kid Pix tools, but with a big difference. The Wacky Brushes, Rubber Stamps, Alphabet Stamps, and Electric Mixer tools create art that moves! Thats where the name Moopies came from: Moving Pictures.

Select a tool on the toolbar by clicking it with the mouse. To use most Moopies tools, hold down the mouse button and move the mouse. Click the Options tray to change the way tools work. For example, click the Wacky Brush tool, and the Options tray shows the ways that Wacky Brush can paint. Click the arrows at the end of the Options tray for more options.

The Color Palette appears beneath the tools. Click the arrows at the bottom of the Color Palette to see coordinated sets of colors. Click a color to select it, and the color you select will appear in the box at the top of the Color Palette. Some tools will paint with the select color; others always use a multicolored effect.

With the Typewriter tool, you can add text to your Moopies project with the keyboard. Unlike Kid Pix Typewriter tool text, this text cant be moved around or changed later. Click the Electric Mixer tool, and the cursor will turn into a face: click on the drawing area with this cursor to work some magic. Click the Eyedropper tool, and the cursor will turn into an eyedropper: click on the drawing area to pick up a color from your Moopies project to use with other tools.

Dont like what you just added to your project? Click the Undo Guy to undo your last action.

Moopies Menu Commands
To start a new Moopies project, click the File menu and select New. You can use the drawing area like a clean sheet of paper, or create a background for your Moopie by clicking the Goodies menu and selecting Pick a Background.

To save your Moopies project for making changes later, click the File menu and select Save a Moopie. Type in a name for your project, and click OK. Select Save for SlideShow to save your Moopie as a digital video file that can be used in SlideShow or viewed in the Wacky TV. Select Save as StandAlone to save your Moopie as a StandAlone application that will run on any compatible computer.

To open a saved Moopies project, click the File menu and select Open a Moopie.

Click the Goodies menu and select Pick a Sound to add a soundtrack to your Moopie.

Tools too noisy for you? Click the Toolbox menu, and select Turn Tool Sounds Off.

To use one of the other Kid Pix Studio Deluxe projects, click the File menu and select Return to Picker.
