I selected this photo because it shows the Vietnamese refugees coming home to what the war did to their homes. I like this photo because it shows the children and what it did to them. This picture means to me that you can lose a lot.

The photograph is strong because it shows the family together looking at their home. The black and white photo gives it an emotion that i think wouldn't be captured right if it was in color. Also, it shows the damages that the war did to their homes and them. The mother is left with nothing except her children.
