Dear Mr. Cofer,

I am excited about the opportunity to join the Mets as a video production intern for the 2011 season while earning credit to complete my undergraduate degree in Sport Management at SUNY Cortland. My past experiences in video production, attention to detail, and hard work will be an asset to the Mets.

I have been exposed to a variety of things that will help me as an intern for the Mets. I was able to take advantage of the opportunity to work for the NY Jets in the summer of 2009 while they conducted their training camp in Cortland. I assisted their video staff with filming practices, uploading film to the database, tagging videos, etc. Also, I am currently working at Binghamton University as a Sports Information assistant. I have filmed various sports for them as well as tagged and broken down video. I consider myself a hard worker that will always be up for any tasks assigned. My military experience and previous work background has enabled me to adapt to situations which have been otherwise unexpected, which puts me ahead of most other candidates. These experiences have put me in a situation that makes me well prepared to contribute to the Mets immediately.

Through my coursework, I have learned other aspects of sport as well. A few of my classes include Ticket Operations, Sport Marketing, Sport Event Management. I also took Applied Information Technology in Sport which gave me the opportunity to be knowledgeable in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Dreamweaver.
