I've had the distinct pleasure of participating in undergraduate researh through two different IUPUI programs. My freshman year I worked in the IU School of Dentistry's oral microbiology department with Dr. Richard Gregory through the Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Research Institute (MURI). In my sophomore year I participated in the Life-Health Sciences Internship (LHSI) program. I was matched with Dr. Michael Francis at the IU Psychotic Disorders Program Prevention and Recovery Center for Early Psychosis (PARC), and after the internship I was hired on as an hourly researh assistant, where I currently still work. To see my scientific posters and papers, more detailed explanations of my research experiences, and fewer long acronyms, please access the MURI and LHSI pages on the left.

In the summer of 2014 I joined the LHSI team as an Intern Ambassador, and I started a third job working for the IU Department of Emergency Medicine at Eskenazi Health. As an Intern Ambasador, I represent LHSI at new-student orientation and campus events, handle graduation and retention data, and help other students with professional development. I am also serving as the LHSI Alumni Council Chair of Communications for 2014-15. In he Emergency Department, I worked as a research coordinator, observing patient interactions with medical students and collecting data for an ongoing study.
