Course Description
The online course introduces the library as a valuable community resource to enhance literacy opportunities for young children. The online participant will interview a librarian and conduct an observation of a storytelling event. Progression through the course will allow the participant to gain information about the role of the librarian, acquire skills in lesson planning, assess quality instructional materials and obtain insight about the importance of emergent literacy.
