Center Street Bridge

The picture above is The Center Street Bridge that lies above the river. The Center Street Bridge is a swing bridge that is located by the Cuyahoga River in the flats of Cleveland Ohio. It is the only remaining swing bridge in the state. The beginning year of construction and completion of the bridge was in 1901. The King Bridge Company was responsible for constructing the build. They used steel, wood and metal to create it.

There has been many repairs done to The Center Street Bridge. It took at least 150 workers to construct the bridge. This bridge was created and were the earliest solutions for making the east and the west side connect.

The construction of this bridge affected this community because of its mechanical problems. It had been closed many times and many people were not able to get across to where they were going. I think the bridge is sustainable because it opens and swings around which allows boats to pass through.
