Building Trades Carroll County High School Career Pathways:

Building Trades I is introductory to construction disciplines (Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Masonry). Students start to identify which discipline they have fun with and want to learn.

Dual Credit in Construction Technology is incorporated in Building Trades I, allowing students to experience college level courses.

Building Trades II continues dual enrollment and encourages students to enroll in evening courses at the local community colleges.

Carroll County Public School System has a reciprocal agreement with local community colleges for free tuition for students while enrolled in high school.

Carroll County High School administration encourages and supports students enrolled in college courses by providing books and resources.

Building Trades III students are prepared for employment or post secondary education through community projects and work experience with local contractors.

Building Trades students earn a diploma from Carroll County High School and Wytheville Community College simultaneously and meet educational requirements and verified work hours to qualify to take the Contractors License Exam and their Journeyman's Tradesman Exam.
