Welcome to the repository for the materials and resources we use during the Initial Critical Friends Assessment Academy. The purpose of the Academy is to build a common, shared understanding and use of the basic elements of assessment at the program level, of the elements of an assessment cycle, and of the tasks involved in creating an assessment plan and an annual assessment report.  The main emphasis is on capacity building and providing embedded support in programs and across campus for creating and sustaining elements of the assessment process. During the Academy, we will discuss what to keep, what to add, and what to revise or eliminate so we can develop both our capacity to serve as Critical Friends and the set of resources that we can use to develop this role.  If there is something that you would like to have added, please contact  Jaci Webb-Dempsey (dempseyj@uncw.edu).
