Learning Goal #1: TLW compare and order who numbers using symbols and models.

  • blank number lines for students to complete and paste in math notebooks
  • Ordering & Comparing formative assessment
  • Dry erase board, markers, and erasers for informal assessments
  • Sample problems for the “YES/NO WAY” informal assessment
  • Peer tutoring when needed.
  • Small cooperative learning groups for extra practice.
  • Challenge tasks for accelerated learners who may finish early (e.g. Write a comparison word problem in your notebook; draw a number line to illustrate it)
  • Reteaching/additional practice with small groups
  • Pre-printed number lines for learning disabled students needing additional assistance
