If you’re contemplating the next step in your professional development, you may want to consider our Short-Term Exploratory Program (STEP). Enrolling in STEP will help you explore your options without formally applying to a program. We understand that life sometimes straps you for time and STEP is just what you need to give you more time to decide what to do or to get all your paperwork and clearances ready for the next application period.

If you enroll in this program you will be able to take up to twelve units from the Division of Education without having to apply to any of our regular programs.
Depending on which semester you enter, you will be able to enroll in ED 451, TE 402, SPED 500 or SPED 560 for the Multiple Subject and Single Subject program.

If you are a matriculated (fully admitted to the university) student at SDSU/Imperial Valley, you may also be able to enroll in TE 303 if you can provide
documentation verifying that you have all required clearances approved to do fieldwork in public schools.
