To begin the process of requesting reasonable accommodations due to a disability, students should consult the appropriate section below.

• For Adult Undergraduate (Florida), Trinity Graduate School and Trinity Online Undergraduate students
  • Complete the online application here.  There is a place on the application to upload your disability documentation (IEP, 504 Plan, Evaluations, etc.)

• For Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS) students at TIU Florida

Examples of Reasonable Accommodations

The following reasonable accommodations, or academic adjustments, are examples of those that have been offered to students with disabilities at TIU:

1. Extended time on tests and quizzes (typically up to 50%)
2. Quiet location for taking tests and quizzes (Professor’s office, Thrive Testing Center, etc.)
3. Human/computer reader for exams and quizzes
4. Give answers orally to test and quiz questions
5. Receive copies of electronic presentations
6. Designated volunteer note taker
7. Recording class and lectures
8. Preferential seating
9. Handouts in enlarged font size / electronic format
10. Use of computer solely for the purpose of note taking
11. Digital books for eligible students

Post secondary schools are not required to provide tutoring specifically for students with disabilities.  Tutoring is available for Deerfield & online students through the Thrive Center.
