  • Using an interactive SMARTboard game gives students control over their own learning.  It forces children to think critically about their choices and actions, and encourages further investigation of the game’s topic.
  • Specific goals for use: 1.) Create environment for critical thinking to take place, 2.) Encourage interest and investigation into the game’s topic
  • This SMARTboard game addresses color and shape recognition.  Both colors and shapes are integrated into all parts of the lesson.
  • An interactive game, such as this SMARTboard activity, would most likely appeal to kinesthetic learners.  
  • Using an interactive SMARTboard game would be a self-paced, student-directed activity with minimal teacher direction at the beginning.
  • Either an individual or a small group could use this media project.
  • Assessment occurs while the game is being played.  Teachers can watch to see if students have a full understanding of shapes and colors.
