  • Intended for parents and teachers connected with all grades
  • A podcast can deliver important information to a wide range of audiences.  In this case, this informational presentation aims to deliver various aspects, both positive and negative, of the new field of online education.  Using a podcast not only meets the needs of many types of learners, but also uses technology to describe an entire technological field that is emerging.
  • Specific goals for use: 1.) Present the facts of online learning to the uninformed to create a more knowledgeable public 2.) Introduce digital foreigners to the world of technology and describe the direction education is heading.
  • This podcast aims to educate a broad audience from a variety of backgrounds about the potential impacts of online education, and what schooling will look like in the future.
  • An enhanced podcast, using both visual and auditory components, will address the needs of both visual and audio learners on Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligences scale.
  • Using an instructional podcast would be a teacher-based activity, where an educator would operate the video and ask/answer questions afterwards.
  • Podcast presentations would be appropriate for small or large groups, depending on the screen on which it is being shown.
  • Assessment occurs after the presentation, while questions are both being asked and answered.
