A School Improvement Plan
Develop a 1750–2000 word school improvement plan using the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) methodology. The PDSA methodology is based on breaking down an issue into manageable chunks and analyzing the results to validate improvement before implementing across the organization.
(1) Plan: Develop a hypothetical school improvement team.
(2) Do: Formulate specific questions and goals to guide the evaluation. Issues to consider:
(3) Study: Identify and select appropriate and relevant sources of data that can contribute to school-based decisions. Things to consider:
(a) Find the right data. Differentiate among the major types of data available to schools..
(b) Collect the data. Most data can be collected through school/district databases, open assess Web sites, or school/teacher constructed instruments. Things to consider:
(c) Form a hypothesis: Examine possible reasons for the existing patterns or trends you found in your data. (Examples of hypothesis: Why are the children performing the way they do? What in the systems and practices is causing children to have these problems?).
(d) Analyze the data.
(4) Act: Develop an action plan and goals based on the data analysis. Demonstrate critical thinking in the development of the Plan, including how it will inform decision-making.
iii) Use standard format in APA style, including an introduction, conclusion, and title page. An abstract is required. Cite in-text and in the References section.
