The building's main entrance for Cab Calloway School of the Arts and the Charter School Wilmington.

The school lobby upon exiting the front office. The lobby is full of couches, pianos, banners, trophies, and of course a picture of Cab Calloway himself. If you look closely you may see one of the last pay phones in Delaware, perhaps of all of the United States. Upon entering the lobby one can go straight towards the gym, or they may go left and see both the art studio as well as the auditorium, or right towards the classrooms.

The three pianos within the lobby where students are allowed to play at any time (with their teachers approval of course.)

Above is the viewpoint of the auditorium when coming through the set of doors that are located on the right. There are two double doors to the auditorium. The auditorium was renovated in 2014 where the school dedicated over $9 million to the construction of the auditorium. Now the auditorium seats over 920 people, and the floor is a downward slope towards the stage. As you can see the ceiling is lined with rows of white tile, which is actually created to absorb as well as reflect any sound. To anyone unfamiliar with theatre or the complexities of it's layout (such as me), you may just see brown squares along the wall and assume they are for decoration. However, the squares along the walls are there to enhance the acoustics within the room as well. There is even an orchestra pit below the stage. Not pictured is the extensive and massive lighting system and sound system. Additionally there is a ticket booth located by the auditorium as well. There is even a screen in the lobby for those who may have to excuse themselves from the auditorium.

The art studio, which is located within the left section of the lobby. It is generally a small black box, with movable walls. The art studio is continually making changes or additions, adding new art or moving the art to go with a new theme. The walls and even spots on the floor are covered with various forms of art from sculptures to to pastel portraits.

Another image of the lobby. This view would be if one turned right from the front office towards the classrooms. Additionally this portion of the building to the right, has a general square shape. Again there is an image that pays homage to Cab Calloway.

Although this is one hallway, this is the overall similar layout for almost all the halls from the basement to the third floor. As I previously stated a large majority of the building is the shape of a square with lockers, hallways, and classrooms along all four walls.

However the inside of the building, or the square if you will, is open up to the outside. Students are permitted to go outside during lunch. All three schools: Cab, Charter, and the grade school use this opening. Additionally, with the middle being open, it permits a large amount of natural light to come into almost every classroom within the school.

Here is only one of the wall murals, which lines a portion of the hallway. This specific mural was made by the students, and is located to the right of the lobby.

Above is an image of the school library, where again students from all three schools utilize and have access to. There are larger tables pictured here for group work, as well as individual cubbies, and couches for a more relaxed learner. Additionally, there are hundreds of books and other various resources the students have access to. There is a charger stand for multiple different types of phone chargers as well. The library is also the location for any computer or technical problems. Here the students are allowed to work individually or in groups, with their teachers approval.
