My Mentor Teacher's Class List

The school that I am observing at uses eSchoolPLUS (esp31.spihost.net), which is owned by the company PowerSchool. From the teacher's view their main access page is titles "Teacher Access Center." Although, if you were viewing from the student's perspective their homepage would be titled "Home Access Center," which the students refer to as "HAC." Through the students' home access center students can view their grades, however now a majority of the students view their grades through Schoology. When a teacher is completing attendance through their homepage, they would click the chair symbol, which I have specifically included here ().

Attendance List

Above is what I was able to see after clicking my specific class' chair symbol when taking attendance. I have circled in red the "A," which is the column where you woud mark if a student was absent. I have circled in blue the "T," which is the column where you woud mark if a student was tardy. I have circled in green the floppy disk, which is what you must click in order for your attendance to be saved and sent to the office. The yellow triangle symbol is simply an alert about the student. Potential alerts could pertain to: medical, special education, personal comments, and academica areas. They are confidential, and can only be viwed after clicking on th specific yellow triangle or under the "Student Detail Drawer" for the specific student.

Seating Chart

My mentor teacher uses a seating chart to help refer to when taking attendance. He has this provided chart for all of his classes. Each of the desks within the class are numbered, hence the numbers on the chart.
