Transfer Credit: High Stakes Assessments, Back-Up Assignments

In your Pre-TEP courses, you have a minimum of three high stakes assessments.  If you are a transfer student, you will need to complete high stakes assessments for any course for which you have received transfer credit.  The attachments below provide an overview of these high stakes assessments.  It is your responsibility to contact the UAB instructor who currently teaches the transferred course.  This instructor will help you to complete your high stakes assessment, and this instructor is responsible for grading your high stakes artifact.

ECY 300 - Special Needs Project (Contact:  Drs. Richard Gargiulo or Renitta Goldman)

EPR 363 - Elementary or Secondary Case Study (Note:  Early Childhood/Elementary majors are to complete the Elementary Case Study; Secondary majors are to complete the Secondary Case Study)  (Contact:  Dr. Maxie Kohler)

EDF 362 - Statement of Informed Beliefs (in place of the Ethnographic Case Study) (Contact Drs. Andrew McKnight, Kenneth, McGrew, or Tondra Loder)

These high stakes artifacts must be be evaluated by an appropriate UAB Instructor before you place them in your portfolio and before you apply to TEP!
