Knowing what is currently going on in education is vital to prospective teachers.  Hot topics like diversity, job expectations, and technology will be discussed throughout the course.  Article critiques will be used to facilitate discussions.  Article critiques will be submitted and evaluated through BlackBoard Learn. There is a link for "Article Critiques.  See the attachments for the articles. Each article critique is worth 50 points.  You should also be prepared to discuss the articles in class. 

Article Critique Format:

 Article Summary:  Briefly paraphrase what the article is about.  (1-2 paragraphs)

Response:  Tell what you learned from the article.  How do you feel about its content?  What are the implications for you as a future teacher? (1-2 paragraphs)
