Come Learn About Me

My name is Brianna Adams, Bri for short. I am a junior here at Delaware State University majoring in Elementary Education. Although I am from Long Island, New York I am considering staying in Delaware to begin my teaching career. I plan on teaching third grade or higher. I want to become a teacher to make a difference in children's lives. The children that I will be teaching are going to be our future doctors, lawyers, and maybe even president so I want to ensure that they receive the best education to achieve all their goals and dreams. I have gotten hands on experiences working with children throughout high school and the feeling was amazing. I want to continue experiencing that feeling on a daily basis. I do not recall when I decided to become a teacher but this little girl, Skylar, who was in my preschool class during high school showed me that teaching was the career path for me. To this very day, Skylar still remembers me and looks to me as her teacher. So remember this name, I just might be your child's teacher!

Instructional technology is "the subset of educational technology that deals directly with teaching and learning applications." Instructional technology is the final level of educational technology in which it deals solely with the classroom. Teachers use instructional technology to deliver the learning material required by the superintendent(first level of educational technology) to their students. Using instructional technology allows teachers to determine which teaching methods is beneficial to their teaching style and which methods are not working that well. Every student has a different learning style which can be seen through the way he or she processes the information that is being learned with the help of instructional technology. Both teachers and students benefit from instructional technology because the end results include motivation/engagement, support, and preparation.
