Objectivism is "a belief system grounded primarily in behaviorist learning theory and information-processing branch of the cognitive learning theories." Constructivism has "evolved from other branches of thinking in cognitive learning theory." When it comes to learning, constructivists believe that learning is constructed knowledge meaning that students should use their own experiences to create knowledge. However, objectivists believe that learning is transmitted knowledge in which teachers play a major role in the student's learning. For teaching, constructivists feel that students engaging in activities that can help them create their own knowledge based on how they interpret the work is more beneficial. Objectivists, on the other hand, feel that teaching should be teacher-directed, systematic, and structured meaning that the teachers have complete control on what and how the students learn.
