Lesson 4 is about the way teachers can use technology to improve their teaching. This lesson introduced us to various instructional softwares that can help teachers in the classroom. We were taught about the roles that these instructional softwares play in teaching. iSTE Standard 5: Designer Indicator 5a relates to this lesson. Use technology to create, adapt, and personalize learning experiences that foster independent learning and accommodate learner differences and needs. inTASC Standard #8: Instructional Strategies also relates to this lesson. The teacher understands and uses a variety of instructional strategies to encourage learners to develop deep understanding of content areas and their connections, and to build skills to apply knowledge in meaningful ways.
