Standards will play a major role in my classroom. I will use these standards as a blueprint to my teaching. Standards were created to set certain expectations for students and their learning. Each grade level has its own set of requirements that students must meet in order to be passed onto the next level and standards can help ensure that I find the best teaching methods for each of my students to reach every requirement. Since standards are a set of learning requirements, it is best that as the teacher I keep a strong communication level with both my students and their parents to make sure the students are on the right track. Standards are all about preparing for the future.
