This portfolio represents my professional growth over my time at Tiffin University. It contains a variety of my course work, career reflections, and shows evidence of integrated learning.

My name is Sultan Aldawsari and my home country is Saudi Arabia which is located in the Middle East. I currently attend Tiffin University which is in Ohio state in the United States. I have been in the college for the last two years after getting a transfer from Indiana Tech University. While at Indiana Tech University, I took a major in Information System, this has been of great help to me here at Tiffin University since there is similarities between the Information System and my current major; Cyber Security. Cyber Security Major is real deal to me because I feel very passionate about it and it’s a very promising major back in my home country. I say this because my country Saudi Arabia is working around the clock to be a top-notch country when it comes to cyber security.

As per statistics, Cyber Security major is on a positive growth trend in the world and I feel this major is going to be very important going forward. My country Saudi Arabia is going online with all its operations as most of the government transactions such as acquiring a new passport, acquiring new Identity Card, renewal of national ID or even getting marriage certificates are currently being generated online. Getting the government operations online means that there will be security issues and this is exactly where my Major in Cyber security comes into play. There will be need to protect the servers from hacking and this can only be done when you understand the protocols of cyber security.

My last semester at Tiffin University is Fall 2021 and to be honest I have learned so many things within the few years I have been here. I have learned a lot about how to interact with the world after taking few classes in TU. I am glad that am taking a class like DEC classes which will also help me showcase what am good at. I feel that taking these classes will help me explore so many avenues and opportunities.

 I have also made friend here in Tiffin most of whom we have the same Major in Cyber security. We deliberate a lot about our major, we share new ideas with each other, and it is really interesting to be around them. Friends are very important since they help one widen their network, especially job network and I feel very blessed to have such kind of platform to share with such amazing classmates and friends. I say this because like 10 years ago, I was not able to be in such a unique platform where I could share with friends and get to know more about my Major from experienced guys.

I have also been involved in competitions when it comes to cyber defense classes, this really helped me grow and understand my weaknesses and try to improve in order to be better. Such kind of competitions has helped me learn how to deal with pressure in future when I get employed as I will be able to be calm, and do the jobs assigned perfectly. The competitions also made me be a very quick thinker and an active individual. To be honest I have gained a lot from the classes I have taken in Tiffin University and I look forward to finishing my classes successfully.
