An endless array of Search Tools for finding World Wide Web sites exist today. However, not too many are aimed at supporting students. The tools listed below provide a more appropriate means of website evaulation which ultimately helps students in finding needed information.

    Awesome Library organizes the Web with 37,000 carefully reviewed resources, including the top 5 percent in education.
  2. Clusty Clusty
    (Clusty queries several top search engines, combines the results, and generates an ordered list based on comparative ranking.)
  3. GoGuides GoGuides
    (Uses a ranking system in evaluating the content of web sites that come back in a results list)
  4. KidsClick KidsClick
    Web search tool for kids, created by Librarians from Kent State University.
  5. Librarian's Internet Index Librarian's Internet Index
    Results list contains sites recommended by Librarians from across the United States.
  6. RefSeek RefSeek
    RefSeek is a web search engine for students and researchers with more than one billion documents, including web pages, books, encyclopedias, journals, and newspapers.
  7. SearchEdu.com SearchEdu.com
    Results list from Google contains ONLY sites from educational institutions. Wonderful and safe for students to use.
