WebQuests

Critical thinking is perhaps on of the most effective tools in teaching a lesson out there!  WebQuests force children to do just that!  Web Quests are very creative and allow children to feel a sense of independence while completing a project.  They often ask that children draw, write and discuss certain things they read or see.  Teachers can be creative with WebQuests as well; they could even base one around an individual idea.  Click on the links below to view examples of WebQuests that are available on the internet.

Native American WebQuest

native-american-religion.jpg The Native American Web Quest, was designed for third graders learning about Native American tribes.  This project will prompt students to search for information and then share it with the class in a creative way.

Internet enhanced WebQuest

char. web.gif The WebQuest Weaving Charlotte's Web, is about teaching children to use the internet and other technology.  The children are to look up pictures of a barn, draw a picture of what they see, and write a paragraph that describes the drawing.

K-3 WebQuests

In the website, K-3 Webquests, there are many activities and lesson plans that teachers can use in their classroom for Kindergarten through third grade students.
