Christmas, Haunnukah, Dia de los Muertos, and Chinese New Year: teachers have to remember the many different holiday’s celebrated by their diverse students. Being aware of the holidays celebrated by my students will strengthen my relationships with them, and allow me to acknowledge, celebrate, and understand their differences, backgrounds, and situations.  This is a link to a calendar I have created that shows the various holidays for many different religions and cultures.
