The little free time I have I like to spend it doing a few couple of things. First I love baking and cooking. I don't know if this is the true Greek girl side coming out (I am 100%) or if I just like the challenge of it that I enjoy. But if I am stressed or having a long week, If I get have the time to bake something I feel at peace again afterwards. Recently I have started to tackle dough. My most recent accomplishment is mastering croissants. I set out one day to do it, I ended up convered in flour with it all over my kitchen but I stuck to it. And after a lot of trial and error, they are delicious now. I have had also had my hand at making the cronut. If you follow food trends, you will then understand the crazyness behind it. I have gotten the look down, but I need to work on their taste. But I'm excited to keep trying!
Another way I like to spend my time is running. I have been an athlete all my life. I grew up playing soccer. I can no longer play soccer due to 3 knee surgeries, so running is all I have left. It sometimes gets hard, I have learned to listen to my knees and see how far they let me go. But there is no better feeling than getting to just run outside and free your mind.
Lastly I like to spend my time planning trips for the future. I have grown up my whole life traveling to Greece and visiting family, and Island hoping around there. And I am not saying that has been a bad experience because I love Greece, there is so much more of the world I would like to see. Which is definitely something to work hard for. I hope one day, I can travel enough to see what else is out there!
