National Student Leadership Conference

Northwestern University

I have just recently signed on for my 5th year working with the National Student Leadership Conference as Program Director for the Medicine and Health Care Program at Northwestern University. I started my career with the NSLC the summer before my Freshman Year of college and have been with them ever since. Every year that I have worked for them I have fallen more in love with the job and the company. I love working with the students and learning from them as much as they learn from us. This coming summer will be my second summer as Program Director. I started off as an Assistant Team Advisor and quickly rose through the ranks as I realized how much passion I had for this job. In the next few years I went from ATA to a Team Advisor, to Head Team Advisor, and on to Program Director. I love working as Program Director because I really enjoy putting the program together and planning everything out. I also enjoy the leadership role that I am given, considering I am responsible for interviewing and hiring a staff of 12 Team Advisors that will influence over 1200 students over the course of the summer. As Program Director, I am also responsible for putting together the acadmic schedule for the students and coordinating the logistics for the Medicine Program.
