I am a Planned Studies: Inequality in Child and Family Studies major at Ithaca College, Class of 2018. My interest in this project comes from my experience growing up as the oldest child of a single Latina mom, which also inevitably influenced the formulation of my major as well. In the Spring semester, I studied abroad in Havana, Cuba, to improve my Spanish and learn about my heritage on my father's side. My course choices, volunteer work and job experiences almost entirely revolve around providing myself with the skills to aid families and children in multiple capacities.
