My research interests focus on the intersection of the court, the public sphere, and ideas about the body and health in Early Modern England.  Other areas of research include communication networks in the Atlantic World, British newspapers and periodicals, medieval military-sociology, medieval and early modern military history, and disease legislation in Early Modern Europe.
