My original contribution is a new work that contributes to the Educational Technology Community. I wrote a new review on the book "The Connected Educator: Learning and Leading in a Digital Age" by Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach and Lani Ritter Hall. I have read and researched information from the book to help me become a better educational technology leader. I found the information from the book very valuable and believed that it could make a difference in the professional life of my colleagues. I learned about continued professional development, the use of "connectivism", and the connected learning community to further technology integration with my colleagues. The book expands on learning Web 2.0 tools to learn how to teach and lead better. I incorporated the book review into my own website that I am developing to provide professional development to my colleagues. There are additional links in my website that expand and reflect on my new work and professional development. My website will continue to reflect the work I am pursuing as a connected educator so I can continue my contributions to the educational technology community.
This website is my professional landing page that highlights my interests and current projects. I expand on using Evernote for the Classroom, Bloom's Digital Taxonomy and iPad apps. I will use my website as a starting point for my colleagues to find out how to better embed technology into their professional practice. I will continue to add information and make the website more complete as I continue my role as an educational technology leader.
