Reading & Lang. VSS/SM Lesson Plan - EDEL 415

Lesson Focus: Vocabulary - Multi-syllabic Word Analysis Grade Level: 5

I chose to develop a lesson plan on multi-syllabic word analysis as it is a learning strategy that I wish I had had the opportunity to learn as a child. I struggled with vocabulary as a young child and believe learning this strategy really would have helped. I feel it will help my future students as well, especially those struggling to learn English as a second language.In addition, I believe its focus on self-reliance is particularly beneficial in creating a sense of ownership in learning.
