Parent Communications

As a student teacher at LeGore Elementary in El Monte City School District, I wrote two letters to parents - a letter of introduction at the beginning of the program and a letter of thanks at the end. Communications were written in both English and Spanish to accomodate the primarily Spanish speaking parent population at LeGore.

Being a parent myself, I know how important and beneficial it is to have a good relationship with teachers as a parent. Having a teacher appear open and genuinely concerned about my child, feeling that they have the best interest of my child at heart, getting back to me right away about any concerns I have had regarding my child, having my child feel that their teacher really cares about them - all these things have fostered a good working relationship with my children's teachers.
