Taskstream for Students

What is Taskstream?

Taskstream/Learning Achievement Tools (TS/LAT) is a dynamic web-based software program designed to enhance the communication between students and faculty concerning coursework and other degree requirements.  TS/LAT also collects field assessment requirements and manages critical assessment data related to NCATE/CAEP accreditation.  All GSEHD students enrolled in NCATE/CAEP accredited programs are required to create an e-Portfolio in TS/LAT

Taskstream allows students to upload assignments from each core course in their program of study, and submit that assignment for evaluation.  It also allows faculty to evaluate students’ assignment and to create standards-based lesson plans, evaluation rubrics, and entire instructional units.

Students are required to use Taskstream to upload and submit assignments for courses that have key NCATE/CAEP assessments. Students must put their key assignments (or portfolio) in Taskstream in a time-frame that allows faculty to evaluate assignments prior to the e-grade deadline. Student course grades will not be finalized until assignments have been evaluated on Taskstream.

You TS subscription will allow you to:

  • Showcase your work. Turn work into high-impact online portfolios that showcase your experiences, skills, and achievements through a variety of media, such as video, mp3, web links, slideshows, and file attachments.  Create multiple, targeted showcases of work to demonstrate learning outcomes to employers, schools, and others.
  • Keep an electronic record of all work. Maintain a portable record of work samples and accomplishments even after you graduate.
  • Track program requirements and assignments electronically. Become more actively engaged in the learning experience by being able to manage program and course requirements and track assignments and deadlines online.
  • Stay organized. Organize your work online so that it can be easily pulled into assessment and showcase portfolios.
  • Consult with professors and peers. Request and receive feedback from others, such as instructors and peers, so that outcomes will be richer and more effective.
  • Access remotely. Share your portfolio in a variety of ways, including email, password-protected or open access web pages, PDF documents or CD/DVDs all of which can be accessed remotely.
  • Keep subscription indefinitely. Maintain your e-portfolio beyond the initial three years by renewing your subscription with Taskstream.
